Mr Omar Tillo

Dr Omar Tillo is an experienced plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a particular specialisation in body contouring, breast and buttock surgery.

He is a board-certified plastic surgeon with an extensive background in general surgery. Dr Tillo graduated with a degree in Medicine in 1997 then completed his first specialisation as a General Surgeon in 2002. Later, he completed a second specialisation in Plastic Surgery. Upon passing the MRCS exam in 2005, he became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and later became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr Tillo trained and worked in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery in some of the busiest hospitals in the United Kingdom and developed a set of advanced skills involving microsurgery, breast, body and limb reconstruction. He completed two advanced fellowships, one being in hand surgery and another in breast reconstruction. He was awarded a Master Degree in General Surgery, a Medical Doctorate with Thesis (MD Degree), the European Board of Plastic Surgery, and the United Kingdom Intercollegiate Board Exam in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

During his previous job as a consultant at the National Health Service (NHS), he developed the breast surgery oncoplastic service at Bedford Hospital by introducing microsurgical free flap reconstruction, complex and revision breast surgery. His team was nominated twice for the Hospital’s ‘Team of The Year Award’ and won the ‘Service Improvement and Innovation Award’ in November 2018.

Dr Tillo is on the General Medical Council Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), UK Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (UKAAPS) and the International Society of Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
